Ztraps, “Spray Proof” Skunk Trap is an effective & humane method for capture and release of nuisance skunks. The 6” PVC tube limits the skunk’s ability to lift its tail. "If skunk cannot lift its tail, it cannot spray" The enclosed confines of the tube keeps the animal calm and prevents the trapper from being scratched, bitten or sprayed.

Skunk trap

Can't really evaluate at this time as it has caught nothing.
Size and weight makes it easy to handle.
Can't evaluate yet. Skunks and other critters have gone for the traditional traps.

Easy to set and handle though the trap I received is a little different than the one pictured. The door has a small wedge of steel that rests on top of the trip rod rather than the hole that is pictured. This allows the trap to be sprung when the animal touches the trip wire inside from any direction but also leads to the trap door being a little touchy (springs easily) if the trap isn't VERY stable. I added a piece of 1" X 8" stock to the bottom cross brace to stabilize the trap, bait door/tray is easy and effective, . A viewing window on the top would be a nice addition to be able to quickly identify your catch. A method to keep the trap door open for releasing an animal would also be a nice addition as it's a little precarious holding the door open waiting for the skunk to leave. With the two additions mentioned this trap would rate a 5! Three adult skunks caught with zero spray so far!
