Fleming Dog Proof Raccoon Trap - 2-Pack with Set Tool - Orange
The Fleming Dog Proof Raccoon Trap features a fully enclosed dog proof design with powerful double coil springs, a pull only trigger system and a straight spade staking system.
The Dog Proof Trap Set Tool is recommended since the springs are very strong and if you set very many traps this will help.
The trap is fired when the raccoon reaches in for your bait, and instead grabs the trigger, firing the trap. The trigger can only be fired by the raccoon pulling on the trigger. A pull only trigger helps prevent unwanted catches or rodents accidentally firing the trigger. When baiting Dog Proof Coon Traps; apply the lure or bait to a cotton ball or sheep's wool. Place below the trigger so the raccoon has to reach past the trigger to get the bait.
These dog proof traps are painted and come in the colors brown, green, orange or white. Since they are painted they do not need to be dyed or waxed to prevent rusting.

Trigger design is the only thing I wish was different

Was very happy with the durability and toughness of the traps but 've had a camera setup over the traps I've caught one coon and have had as many as seven reaching into the traps and the trap would still be set when I got there and all the bait would be gone the only way I got it to work is I superglued some corn to the trigger and that worked ,but marshmallows, catfood , fruitpebbles, dp bait all they got it out without setting off the traps even on a hair trigger

Dog proofs work like a charm these traps are great but the spade end that goes in the ground could be a little sharper.I didnā€™t receive my setters with it but contacted customer service & they let me know they were on back order & would be shipped asap. Good customer service

2 orange dog proof raccoon traps bought, one will set & one won't. Bought a brown Ztrap dog proof trap from Atwoods Farm Store that is catching raccoons. I am not pleased or satisfied with the Fleming traps.

We bought 2 of these traps and removed 7 pesky raccoons within a week, using catfish food for bait. They are easy to set and simple to use. Bottom line they work.

Gets a hold on them and doesn't let go. Got two first night using two traps. Setting just one trap I Got
one each intermittent visits until 5 were "gone". All has been quiet...Did learn that the bait I use
attracts ants and after a week of no coons found the ants carried off the bait. I'll try a little KARO on
that bait.

Bought this combo pack for my nine year old son. The set tool makes it possible for him to set them without needing any help until he has the grip strength to set them without it. He's already commented that the bright orange color and how it will make it easier to locate his traps while out in the woods. Overall these are great traps and will last him for years to come. I've been using Fleming's DP traps for the last few years and they haven't let me down. Quality from a family operated business!!!
