The Duke Dog Proof Coon Trap features a fully enclosed dog proof design with powerful coil springs, a sensitive trigger system and a straight spade staking system. The trap is fired when the raccoon reaches in for your bait, and instead grabs the trigger, firing the trap. When baiting Dog Proof Coon Traps; apply the lure or bait to a cotton ball or sheep's wool. Place below the trigger so the raccoon has to reach past the trigger to get the bait.

I have never trapped anything until now. I have several ducks and my security system picked up a raccoon in my yard. So I tried to trap it in a cage trap to no avail all it was doing was feeding the raccoon.
I ordered these traps and to my surprise caught two raccoons in 48 hours. I could not be more satisfied.
Easy to set.
You will have to kill the critter once you trap him. but that's ok!

Easy to set up. I tried using candy as bait, but that didn't work.

The dog proof traps work great but the advertisement shows a setting tool with every 2 traps ordered. I ordered 3 sets and no tools were sent.

MY TARGET VARMITS WERE FERREL CATS, SKUNKS, POSSUMS, ARMADILLOS. I FOLLOWED YOUR BAIT RECEIPE VIDEO. THEY WOULD EAT THE BAIT ON TOP OF TRAP AND OFF THE GROUND EVEN WITH YOUR FISH OIL. I ALSO BOUGHT A CAGE TRAP FROM DUKE WITHOUT ANY SUCESS. ANY IDEAS?

product was bent and not operable when it got here, I had to bend the part that holds the spring in order to be able to actually set the trap.

Had some raccoons that were eating our deer corn. We are slowly but surely removing them from that area and saving the corn for the deer.
Straight forward instructions and once they get the coon, he is caught.
Sometimes it will snap closed without being triggered from the inside, but that may be user error.

We ordered this kit and received it within a week. Set the two traps the first night and caught two racoons that night using sardines as bait. Very impressed. We had been using a live trap but after catching a few, they figured it out and stayed away. Thanks for a great product. Will definitely recommend to others.

Great traps. Works as advertised. Easy to set up. You can set these by hand if you had to, but the tool makes it really easy.
Light weight and they can't get away.
