Good price, ok trap

Now, I'm comparing these to my bridger 110.....
Great price on these traps, but it shows in the quality of the build...While still an effective trap, the duke 110s rivets are kinda loosey goosey, and the trigger has a little play to it when set making it slightly less sensitive...both of these imperfections can be remedied of course with some simple mods, but the one thing I have a definite problem with is the fact that the trap, when sprung, sometimes will not clamp closed all the way. The loops on the trap that slide up and close the jaws are kind of big, and doesnt close it all the way half the time leaving a 1 inch gap between the jaws..I snapped it on my thumb behind my second knuckle (by the webbing) and I was able to pull it out with no resistance whatsoever. I have a little hesitation about setting these for land because I don't want to lose a catch or injury an animal..I would use these strictly for muskrat in water because they still will hold on to them for drowning.
ProsCheap, easy to set, good for drowning sets
ConsRickity rivets, jaws dont snap shut all the way, trigger a little loose..modifications could be done, or spend a few more dollars for a better quality trap
