I had to grind the ends of the jaws where they come through the frame. When the spring pushed them up to close the trap the ends would catch on the spring so the trap would not close. Would not buy this brand again.

With a bit of adjustment these are perfect. Out of the box the pan was all but impossible to move. But in a few minutes they were ready to be boiled and out on the line! The spring is fast enough and the hold is definitely strong.
