They work great and are very durable but are a little over kill unless u love a giant whole .

This auger is good and makes a good hole in reasonable soil. I would probably recommend the 2" to keep coons from accessing your bait.

This has been an epic time saver for me, not only do I use it for trapping, I use it for breaking up hard soils in the garden when I want to plant something.

This auger digs the perfect size hole for a dirt hole set, and digs very good makes setting a dirt hole set a lot faster!!
