Nice cutting edge, flimsy D-handle

The cutting edge and attachment to the wood handle are heavy duty and high quality, but the D-handle is made from flimsy stamped steel and fastened with #8 machine screws that won't last; I'll be replacing the D-handle with a donor from another spade.
Cutting edge is heavy ground steel.
Attachment of cutting edge to wood handle is very secure.
D-handle is flimsy stamped steel.
D-handle attached with undersized #8 machine screws.
D-handle flexes excessively when rotating to bore a hole.
