Standard Berkshire Disposable Stakes are excellent for normal soil conditions. These stakes come already attached to 15" cable and are ready to be used. The Berkshire Disposable staking system is the least expensive lightest and easiest on the market. Can be used on all sizes and types of traps, including cage traps, snares, and is perfect for anchoring rodent bait boxes in place. Has no weld that can break, can be reused. 3/4"W x 2.5"L.

I received these items and attached them to my new traps to be dyed. After dying and waxing the new traps, upon setting in ground a couple of the stakes slipped their crimps and the loops were lost. On another set with DP's after putting the stake in the ground both the top loop and the loop in the ground let go. I have since ordered the ends and have begun making my own stakes.
Crimps on the stakes did not hold when setting the stake in the ground. Loops pulled through crimp device upon setting of the stake.

I prefer these over the Berkshire heavy duty. I find they’re easy to drive and the end doesn’t straighten out while you’re driving them. They hold tight also. Had a 46 lb coyote giving it all he had and the stake never budged.

This product changed my trap line. Before I was using rebar stakes and could only carry so many at a time. Now with these I can carry over a dozen traps and stakes in a backpack and its not too heavy. Makes it much easier on me having to walk long distances.
Light but very strong.
Have not found a reliable way to re use these in the hard rocky ground I trap.

Anchors hold real good. Some of them had to be dug out to remove. Others took all my strength to pull out of ground.
Will definitely hold a raccoon.
Some of the stakes folded like a taco when pulling out of ground. I guess this is why they're called disposable.

These earth anchors are great. They take less effort and time then pounding in rebar. Makes carrying them in you bag much lighter and easier. I only have one complaint that in tough ground they can bend, but have yet to lose a trap.

You will have to dig them out to get them out. Only way I have found. Drive them 4 inches deeper then your swivel. That way when you pull to set the swivel will be right at ground level.
